September 8th, 2010 Labor Of Love.

I’ve never really celebrated Labor Day, but then I don’t too much about the national holiday to begin with.  Honestly, I just look at it as a day off work/school.  A few of my friends and I had a cookout by Montrose Beach, not so much because it was Labor Day, but because we had a day off.

Have a cookout today just because. Celebrate life. Live It.

August 26th, 2010 The Trap.

By Lil B.  I find myself following Lil B’s work more and more these days. At first I didn’t get him – most of his songs are not positive and have absolutely no positive message, yet in all of his print and video interviews he speaks about being positive, spreading love, and enjoying life.   I was completely confused. After a bit of research I started to understand where he’s coming from, and where he’s going.  Though his thought-provoking songs are few, this is probably one of his most thought provoking joints to date.  If you’re familiar with his work you know where I’m coming from, and you might think I’m insane.  Dare I say it, Lil B inspired me with this one.  Plus I’m feeling his Cormega/C.N.N. steez.

Thank God I’m Based.

August 24th, 2010 Machete (NSFW)

If you saw Grindhouse (2007) in theaters you’re familiar with the fake trailer for Machete. I’ve been looking for the right trailer to post since hearing Machete was going to be an actual full-length movie. This trailer is everything I expect to see from a Robert Rodriguez film. Danny Trejo in a leading role… nice. Steven Seagal? Crazy nice. Needless to say I’m looking forward to this one. This trailer is crazy…

I wonder if Quentin makes a cameo appearance?

August 16th, 2010 XXXO.

By M.I.A. Directed by Hype Williams. I’m feeling the old school webpage art direction with this one. And call me crazy, but I’m feeling her new album.
