Omen.

Terminal O. By Chicago's own Omen. Directed by Chris & Blaq of IMPAKT STUDIOS.

I never heard of this guy before today, but I'm on a hunt to find out more. Another win for the Windy.

I'm kinda feeling my one word titles. Can you tell?

We Can Do It Big.

By The Cool Kids featuring Stalley. Produced by Ski Beatz. Shot by the good folks at Creative Control. CC has been puttin out some pretty dope clips of the artists in their circle.

The song's cool, but I kinda dig the performance shots in front of the movie projection.

Man, I gotta get an HD joint quick...

Stocks On Deck.

...And he's from Chicago. I like the fact that they didn't mention his father, and got this feature all on his own merits. His pops is pretty funny though.

We Gone.

First off, I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah to all! As I look at the year in review, and the the year to come, we can only go up from here. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the W!LD LEEK brand thus far, and I hope you continue to be apart of the family in 2010. We have a few things planned for the new year, starting with STYLIN' crewnecks dropping sometime in January. I'll keep you posted.

2010, here we come! We gone!

We do it for Chicago.

Tambourines = A Good Time.

Promise Land by Joe Smooth featuring Anthony Thomas. I graabed this from the good people over at Jam Of The Day. What's up, Jeremy! If somebody is playing the tambourine in the middle of a party, you that joint is jumping! 80s style kicking it.

Chicago Love. Richard M. Daley is still the Mayor.

We Were Once A Fairytale.

A short film by Spike Jonze starring Kanye West (among others).

Though unsettling, I kinda like this piece. Kanye did a pretty good job of acting drunk (no jokes here, I'll take the high road). So what does it all mean? That's a ?uestion for Spike and Kanye, but I'll put a few thoughts out there. With the first portion of the film being dedicated to watching Kanye's drunken antics, it would seem the ending would have something to do with his drunkenness. In my humble opinion its because of who he is most that most of the comments I've seen on this clip suggest the creature at the end is West's ego. Perhaps. If so, shouldn't we have seen Kanye sober and acting crazy, as he tends to do? Anyone one could potentially act this way when they're drunk enough. And the creature seems rather mild-mannered to be Kanye's ego, right? What about the rose petals? I could go on, but I'll stop there.

Art is open to interpretation.

Allow Wealth To Introduce Wealth.

Fellow Chicago brand Ends/Weath Corp. have redone their website and have new clothing offerings. They have also posted a few videos explaining their beginnings and a new lookbook.
Brandon and Juan have a very innovative team behind the brand and I'm always looking forward to what they'll be presenting in the future.

Nem Perez is also a beast on the motion graphics/film tip. Nice!

Nobel Peace Obama.

Chicago bred Barack Obama wins the 2009 Nobel Peace Price. Wow! It does seem a tad premature, but I do recognize the amazing efforts he has made and already done in uniting the world, starting with other countries being excited over his presidency.

2 Fingers For Fenger.

By Harold Green. A dedication piece in the wake of the death of Chicago's Fenger High School student Derrion Albert.

I haven't watched the footage of the beating. I can't. I don't wanna see that. I'm still trying to think of what I can do. Kudos to Harold. Its gotta stop.

...And the 2016 Olympics are a no go in Chicago. I personally didn't think it was a good idea in the first place.

Classic Hype intro. The crazy dancing girls are kinda funny to me. Watch that hair, lady.

G.O.A.T.

Last week Michael Jordan was inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Bout time. Check his acceptance speech:

Bout time I posted this. I would have been completely remiss seeing as W!LD LEEK is Chicago.

Presidential Diss.

Looks like he might have wanted the cameras to stop rolling. Too late.

Hahaha! I agree. Dude at the beginning can keep his commentary though. He does have a right to say who he thinks should win an award, just not at Taylor Swift's expense. That was mad rude. Hey, everyone's a critic. And It's really nothing new from Kanye. Hate him or love him. Certainly, President Obama doesn't hate him, but he has an opinion as well. Booyah!

A Crazy Trip In Chicago.

Though I've seen the logo, commercials, news blurbs, and unbeknownst to me have seen some of his jewelry on local Chicago artists, I never knew it was Mr. Tastees.  He screen prints his own shirts, then sells them out of either his ice cream cart or from his turquoise ice cream truck. Dope concept.  Did I mention he's from Chicago?  Mr. Tastees has put together a Visual Mixtape consisting of a few Chicago artists that he has done custom jewelry pieces for.  Check it:
I love films that fuse live action and animation together, and this piece does not disappoint on that tip.  The graphic work and cinematography are on point as well.  Aside from all the technical stuff, I like this joint because its crazy!  Its off the wall crazy... and were those ninjas!?!? This piece also does a great job of getting sleepers up to speed on the local Chicago music scene.  I just wish it were longer... I want more!

There's no place like home.

Paranoid.

By Kanye West. Directed By Nabil Elderkin. This song is my second favorite track from 808s And Heartbreak, yet I'm not that big a fan of the video. It does have some good elements in it though - such as the the model car scenes and the shadowy hands.

Character!

This is not even that entertaining, but its funny because its Diddy!  And I thought he deaded the "Puffy" moniker.  Still funny nonetheless.  He could work on his autotunes voice a bit though. Kanye caught on fairly quickly (Can't get enough that joint by the way)!

This is even worst than the first.  Not even half as entertaining... almost.  Where the heck are the doors on those jeeps!?!?! And put your seat belts on!

This is what happens when you're not sure what to really blog about - you post videos.  Its so easy!  Not to worry though there will be more on the W!ld Leek brand as we grow.  In the mean time email us (click on The Pointz at the top of the page), and let me know what you might want me to blog about... cartoons, movies, Chicago, streetwear, or ?uestions on W!ld Leek.
